TheConnectionCoTherapy-KrystinaWeissLMFT

Hey there,
I'm Krystina.

Hi, I’m Krystina Weiss, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in Minnesota. I work with women navigating the complexities of motherhood, life transitions and emotional overwhelm.

My husband and I have been married for nearly a decade, and we have three children together. Outside of my work, I’m someone who really values the simple, meaningful moments from spending time with my family, being outdoors, getting lost in a good book, baking something from scratch, or enjoying really good food. These parts of my life keep me grounded and connected, and they deeply shape the way I show up in my work.

My Story

My path into this work began with a deep interest in how our relationships and life experiences shape us. I earned my Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy from St. Cloud State University in 2017 and, shortly after, made my way to Alexandria, where I’ve continued to grow both personally and professionally. Over time, this work has become not just what I do, but something I feel deeply connected to — creating space for women to feel supported during seasons that can feel overwhelming.

Becoming a mother was the most world-shaking, identity-redefining experience of my life. It reshaped how I saw myself, my relationships, my priorities and the world around me. Nothing prepared me for how profound the transformation would be — not just physically, but emotionally and spiritually. Motherhood didn’t just add a role to my life; it changed the lens through which I experience everything.

That transformation flows into every part of my work as a therapist. I understand in a deeply personal way that pregnancy, birth and postpartum are not just moments in time but experiences that can profoundly shape a woman’s sense of self. Supporting women during these seasons feels deeply sacred to me.

My Approach

My approach is relational at its core and grounded in a strength-based perspective.

I don’t believe in rushing to fix things or offering surface-level solutions. Instead, I focus on creating a space where you feel safe enough to be honest about what’s really going on and supported enough to begin making sense of it at your own pace. I also recognize that your experiences don’t exist in isolation, but are shaped by your relationships, your environment and the season of life you’re in.

This work is also trauma-informed, meaning we move gently and intentionally, honoring your story without overwhelming you and supporting your nervous system along the way.

Together, we focus on:

  • understanding what you’re carrying

  • creating space for your experience

  • helping you feel more grounded, connected and supported.

Healing and growth look different for everyone. If you’re curious about what support could look like for you, I invite you to explore the Individual Therapy, Perinatal Therapy and EMDR Therapy pages to learn more.
